SoBou Sips monthly tastings

Ever wanted to know the difference between a potato vodka and rice vodka? Can you tell the difference between Rum and Rhum? How is a Bourbon different that a Rye? SoBou Sips is a monthly series that will explore the ever increasing variety of spirits and liqueurs. Led by Bar Chef Abigail Gullo, SoBou Sips is open to industry professionals and the drinking enthusiast alike. Every session includes a tasting of spirits, a palette cleansing cocktail and a blind tasting. With delicious bites from SoBou, you are sure to leave in high spirits!
SoBou Sips presents A Taste of the Irish!
You may have the Luck of the Irish, but have you had a Taste of the Irish? Irish whiskey is the fastest growing category among whiskey spirits. Defunct Irish Distilleries are once again producing pots of liquid gold and there is a variety of ages and expressions to taste. Follow the rainbow to SoBou for this Irish whiskey tasting. $25 includes four tastings and a palette cleansing cocktail. Prepare your stomach with Happier Hour Bites available from 3pm-6pm.

We’ve got 12 seats open for brilliant minds to share their brilliant ideas with our veteran entrepreneur and crack team of experts.
We’ll start at the bar with minute-long pitches from our 12 entrepreneurs. The top three will move on to the next round to talk ideas with our team over SoBou small bites. Our expert BarPreneur and team will choose their favorite idea and take the winner to lunch at SoBou to continue the conversation. Get your idea heard, possibly get feedback and at the least get some practice pitching. Observers welcome, too!

It’s easy to get one of our 12 pitching spots. Email Sam Fritz at firstname.lastname@example.org with a sentence or two about your idea and we’ll reserve your spot on a first-come first-serve basis. Then show up with your idea, ready to battle it out with 11 other aspiring entrepreneurs!
One-minute pitches begin at noon; lunch will wrap up by 1:30.
